The Staff

Lisa V. Taylor

CEO/Owner

Me: Everything I have done has brought me to this point. My first job was running an antique store near ‘the old Bellevue Square’. Subsequent life paths included Director Management Roles within marketing and business development departments for organizations like Microsoft (Interactive Media Group), The Los Angeles Times, Paramount Pictures, LA on Hold (VoiceOvers), Taylor’s Estate Sales (SF Bay), Community Liaison for Film Productions (Seattle) and a myriad of other stints such as a Non-Profit Founder/Director and Publisher/Editor of a local newspaper.

Joys: People, Vintage, Creative Projects, and the fun of seeing people hunting for (and finding) treasure, selling their finds (and making a profit), enjoying an auction, placing ‘just the right prop’ into a scene, or simply enjoying a great vintage event. Makes my day.

Elaine Winter

Marketing & Writing

Me: I have always enjoyed people, beautiful things and antiques. Working with my two children on this venture brings all of that together, and also allows me to utilize skills acquired during my work as Managing Director for The Tacoma Little Theater, Manager of the Sedona Shakespere Festival, a Newspaper Coloumnist and Theater Reviewer and Sales Manager for Sedona Art Gallery's and more, often creating events and staging items for customers. I've seen the 1920's, 30's and 40's though my mother's eyes, and experienced most of the rest. You want to know the era? Ask me. I've seen it all 'come in' and 'go out' and then 'back in again'. From Victorian to Arts & Crafts to some Art Deco - it's all enjoyable to me, especially the stories associated with all of those treasures - history! My favorite subject.

Joys: Engaging in conversation with a new person then feeling we are no longer strangers when we part. Discovering the mircles of nature rambling on a forest path and along the shore. The thrill of "Opening Night" at the theater, Classical music and the elation of a marching brass band.

Grant Taylor

Buy-Outs & Estates Manager

Me: It all started when I was 3 years old on a rock hunt. According to my older sister it was to keep me occupied, but it started a long journey of discovery. Rocks turned to gold and silver, which morphed into jewelry and great vintage. While I have worked in the business of home restorations (vintage turned fresh and new) for many years, I am always on the lookout for that next great treasure. It is a distraction that I enjoy and share with just about everyone I know. My sister tells me I get ‘junk drunk’ and I have to admit, its true, but in a good way!

Joys: A great hike, locating that elusive find, watching people smile when they sell or buy something they have been searching for – meeting families and hearing stories, and yes, finding gold.

Alexa Bartlett

Strategic Marketing Associate

Me: My childhood was full of estate sales and antique malls, giving me a passion for vintage wares. I applied some of that passion abroad, working PR and Events for an Australian fashion magazine. With an Honors Degree in Organizational Studies from a top tier liberal arts college and work experience in marketing and development, my goal is to bring practical business concepts and strategy into various vintage events. This approach maximizes the experience for everyone, and lets me have some fun!

Joys: Creating new and innovative solutions, working with and learning from people, discovering something I've never seen before, and linking vintage with modern.
